Armadillo Chasin

Brrrr... so cold...

It has been SO cold here lately. @__@ It all happened so suddenly, too. One week it was 80 something degrees and then it plummets to 50 degrees the following week! That may not sound very cold to some folk, but it's pretty chilly for us Texans!

Something really funny happened today. I took Buu and Zoe outside to go get the mail and I saw Zoe take off across the street. I chased after her, yelling at her to come back, and finally caught up to her. She was on the side of the road sniffing at some animal... it LOOKED like a fox, but it was kinda hard to tell. She then chased it off into the woods and I proceeded to call for her till she finally decided to stop being so stubborn and came back.

I was really interested in what this animal was, so I put Buu and Zoe back in the house and went back to the spot where I saw the animal run into the woods. Thinking it might have been our lost cat Illidan, I called "here kitty kitty kitty" a few times and I heard something rustling around in the leaves. Whatever it was, it wasn't afraid of me and wasn't running away. I then decided to go get Ben out of his sick bed so he could give me his opinion on the matter while I tried to coax this animal out of the forest line with cat food. We figured it had to be tame otherwise it would have ran away at the sound of my voice. However, apparently there is such a thing as "urban armadillos" around here. xD I finally spotted the animal, it was an armadillo that was responding to the cat call. Ben theorized that the armadillo may have been used to stalking cats so it could steal their food... made enough sense to me. I threw some cat food to it and went back inside.

... in other news, Sonic Adventure has been released onto the Xbox live and PS3 marketplace! o____O'' Isn't that crazy? I totally didn't see this coming at all!

Photobucket

This port has received much criticism because nothing really has changed since the original Dreamcast version. No graphical enhancements have been made, no levels added, no extras, no nothing. However, this specific port could be considered the best looking version between the three versions (360/PS3, Gamecube, and Dreamcast) because of the higher 720p resolution and increased frame rate. Sonic Adventure is available now on the Xbox marketplace for $10, and for an additional $5 you can get the DX version. I'll probably just settle for the $10 version, since I actually have a copy of Sonic Adventure for the cube. :3 This is going to be a fun way to get more achievements!! I heard that you can also get avatar awards from this game as well. <3

What about SA2? According to some rumors SA2 will also be available at a later date... but I can't confirm that right now.

Fall Fest Thing!

Well yesterday was fun!

Yesterday we went to church as usual, but it was a amazing service. ^^ I can't even begin to describe how I felt during that service...it was just so incredible, blessed.

That evening we went to church again, but at this new church we have been going to in Henderson. They were having a fall fest for the kids so Ben and I helped out with the games. It was so much fun! The kids seemed like they were having a good time... my booth was pretty popular. :D I was running a go fishing game for them which everybody seemed to like.

Last night Ben showed me another trick in Photoshop. He showed me how to make animated gifs! Now I don't have to use that other program that I was using. :D Photoshop is even better than what I was using before for animated gifs, because you can use the puppet tool. See, check out what I did last night:

Poor Tails, he keeps hitting his head!

Now I am sipping coffee while I wait for Ben to wake up... we didn't sleep too well last night because our dogs kept us awake. @__@'' We had them sleep in our room with us because of Halloween. (there are some sick people that like to harm animals during Halloween where we live)

But anyways... yeah, fun. xD

Full of Cereal

Yum, I love honey nut cherrios. :3

(just finished eating breakfast around 12:30 pm, lol)

Today is a lovely day! The wind is blowing, and it's kinda chilly outside. It's pretty cool here for east Texas... 45 degrees F...and it's colder in my house than it is outside, lol. That's what I get for having good insulation.

I'm still working on my website. I purchased the domain name for it but I'm having to wait on Host Color to fix some glitch in the system or whatever. Figures. EVERY time I try to get anything done with them stuff like this happens. Am I the only one? O__o'' I don't see how they can stay in business with the poor customer service that they have. The only reason why I've stuck with them for so long is because I get a discount every year for staying with them...that and I don't want to have to worry with the hassle of changing servers.

I'm almost done with the construction of the new site layout and pages. <3 This extra time Host Color has blessed me with <__<'' has helped me to put a little extra umph into making this new layout decent.

Right now I'm chatting with Bo and a old friend of mine that I haven't talked to in AGES. Good times. ^o^ I'm also waiting on Terry to wake up from his nap, poor guy - he's sick AGAIN. He's always sick. :<

Back from the Dead

So I'm back again. xD I decided to ditch livejournal since they now make you watch commercials before you can log into your account. Isn't that crazy? Previously my journal of choice was my DA journal since most people kept in touch with me on DA, but now since I have left DA this blog is all I have left. (besides my website, of course)

So to get all that juicy privvey information about me that I know you stalkers want, you have to come here. xD Just kidding.

So, about my website. It's going through some major changes that only the very observant would be able to detect. Since I am redesigning my site on another page the only way you can tell that I am doing anything is because the other pages have slightly changed their color scheme and whatnot. The most obvious would be the art page. I'm so excited to get my site relaunched...^o^

way too busy for my own good

Life has been crazy as usual, school and work... and dude, work has been really different lately.

It all started when our district manager had to step down from her post for a family matter, and was replaced by new woman. This lady is really nice, and I like her a lot. However, if you don't do your job you'll be in big trouble! xD This lady doesn't bluff like the others did... like, three people have now been fired/laid off since she's been in control of our district. Our store has a skeleton crew again, yay... just in time for Christmas! So many changes are happening, but I hope it will be for the best. All I can do is trust God right now because I don't have many other options...

School is going well, it's just wearing me out. I'm kinda getting tired of having to wake up early every day. @.@

Anifest 2009

YAY ANIME FEST!!!

Photobucket

I have several photos of the Anime Fest 2009 in Dallas. Sorry for the low quality, all I had was my camera phone. x_o The image above is of me and my coworker Jesse at the dealer's room on Sunday. I cosplayed as Deidara from Naruto! ^o^

Photobucket

Just a shot of the dealer's room. Again, sorry for the poor quality of these photos. I really wish I had brought my digital camera with me. u_u From what you can see from this photo, this is just one corner of the room. The room they used was very large, unfortunately not many dealers came this year so there was a lot of free space.

Photobucket

Just before the Naruto photo-shoot started I took this picture of two girls dressed as Itachi and Deidara. Reminds me of when I went as a fem-Sasuke at Ikkicon two years ago.

Photobucket

This was one of my favorite pictures during the Naruto photo-shoot. I really liked Suigetsu's sword... it was very well done. It seemed he actually worked for the convention because whenever some of the cosplayers would get out of line he'd jump up there with his sword and get everybody back to where they were supposed to be. xD

Photobucket

This is probably the best picture of me in my costume. n_n I took this at my Mom's apartment. You have no idea what kind of trouble I had to go through to get that wig ready in time for the convention. No idea. @_@

Photobucket

It's all of us Akatsuki. ^o^ That's me there on my knees beside Hidan. As you can see there were a couple of Tobis, and a handful of Deidaras. Only one person cosplayed as Hidan, and a couple cosplayed as Itachi. No Kisame. :(

Photobucket

A close-up shot. If you look real close you can see a girl standing behind me with black hair. She was cosplaying as Itachi... she was so cute! She kept locking her arm with mine as we were standing there watching the photo-shoot. So sweet. X3

Photobucket

Poor Tobi.

Photobucket

I wasn't sure what this was but it looked really cool. lol

Photobucket

This was one of my favorite costumes. This guy took a bunch of mountain dew cans and made a samurai suit out of them! :D So cool! He walked around the con yelling 'Do the Dew!'.

That's all the photos I got for now... I may upload some more later on a future post. :p I really enjoyed this year's con, it was so much better than it was two years ago. (at least for me, anyways) It seemed smaller this year but I didn't mind... I got to do most of all the things I wanted to do this time and two of those things was cosplaying and going to the cosplay contest. All in all, great convention!
