I am now signed up for orientation at Kilgore College this July 19th! Ben is going to shoot for taking his sysco certification class this fall. I was pleased to find out that I qualify for up to two months in VA benefeits for serving in the military! ^__^ That'll cover about $2200 of my class/book fees. w00t!

Death to my Scanner

:< My scanner finally gave its last breath approximately around 1:45 PM this afternoon. My scanner and I shared many memories together... many of my artwork went through that thing...and its finally dead after 2 and 1/2 years. p__q Wahahahaha. *sob*

But thats okay 'cause Ben is out looking for me a new one. We looked at some at Office Depot and Best Buy today...and I have to say that I was dissapointed in the selection. It seems that they've decided to stop carrying as much scanners as they used to and started focusing on those 3 in 1 scanner/printer/fax crap machines. (no, they don't actually crap... 3 in 1 not 4 in 1... however, that would be kinda cool lol) Those things are expensive! Theres no way I'm gonna pay 300 dollars just so I can have a scanner and not use the other two components of it. Besides, the scanner itself has been downsized to compensate for the printer and fax...so no good even if I had the money! Atleast Office Depot had 3 to choose from. Best Buy had NONE. Yes, thats right... NONE. Those crazy 3 in 1 machines are taking over. x__x Ahhhhhh!

I'm gonna start a petition to SAVE OUR SCANNERS! >:/

Yaaaayyy... I'm getting my old cat back! :D Hes a small black cat named Toby that my Mom got for Christmas a couple years back. When my parents divorced she took him with her to her new apartment... but sadly since she has to work over-time everyday hes not getting the attention he needs. Sooo...with enough convincing from my Mom that it'd be okay, my Dad allowed me to keep Toby for her while shes still working! (which will be a loooong time) ^__^ I'm so happy! I just love that cat... and it'll be nice just having a inside cat. Inside cats are cooler than dogs in some respects because they're cleaner and you can let them sleep in your bed. <3 Hes such a sweetie, too. I can't wait!

Oh, and in other news... my Accuplacer test went really well! I passed everything BUT the essay which I expected to begin with anyways. I scored very high on the Algebra, I got a 93! I'm hoping if they don't automaticly advance me to trig, that I can clep out of the class and get credit for it. ^_^ It was just way too easy! And its all thanks to Miss Kay, my highschool teacher. :D Shes awesome! *thumbs up*

What a crazy week

This week has just been crazy! (at work, anyways) u__u Every day that I've had off I've been called in for one reason or another. Liz, one of my co-workers, got sent to the hospital friday night for kidney infections. She then got the weekend off but called in anyways for the following three days. THEN Vanessa went into labor Tuesday morning so I got called in and now we're REALLY short on people. o__O'' Everybodys kinda scatter brained right now. I'm just happy I atleast got two days off this week. I was so tired of working everyday...

I did manage to run by Kilgore this afternoon and sign up for their placement test or whatever for tomorrow. I'm excitied about that. ^o^ I'm trying to do some last minute brushing up on basic math skills. Eeek! Wish me luck! :D

Boring Weekend

What a boring weekend this has been so far... u_u''

It started off a little different than I had expected. One of my coworkers had to be rushed to the hospital last night due to a kidney problem of some sort and so I came in last night to cover part of her shift. Since I had to be there till 9PM I didn't have to come in to work today till 1PM. :D Which was fine by me because I was supposed to have been there this morning at 7:30! Atleast I got to spend a little extra time with my hubby and it made the weekend more interesting...

Tomorrow I have to open. @__@'' Same for Monday, too. Ah well, I got three days off in a row this coming week so that'll be good. I plan on taking the test for Kilgore college this coming Thursday. We'll see how that goes.

My first post!

Yaaay... my first post! :P I decided to leave Myspace and go to Facebook but Facebook doesn't allow you to have a online journal...so I thought I'd just create me one. ^_^ Hee.



Sooo... its January 2nd. I can't beleive a whole year has gone by. o__o'' It seems that January 2nd 2007 was only a few months ago. They say the older you get the faster time will fly by... heheh. I keep thinking about when I first started hanging out with Ben around November-ish. I invited him over for the first time ever on Thanksgiving. I was having a party at my house and I thought that would be a great oppertunity for me to invite him over without making it look like I had other motives. :P I had the biggest crush on him... hehehehe!



The marriage ceremony was kinda stressful. There were a few last minute things we had to take care of before the wedding. x__x'' Ah oh well... atleast we got a bunch of photos.



Our honeymoon was short-lived but very sweet. :3 We didn't do much besides chillin' in the hotel since we had to pretty much walk everywhere we went... but that was okay since the hotel was really nice. We left eeeearly Saturday morning for Louisville Kentucky and came back to Longview Texas at 4:05 PM on Monday. We could've stayed in Kentucky longer if Ben's work hadn't been so stingy about giving him some time off for his honeymoon. >__>'' Aye.



Thats about it really... anything interesting anyways. :P
